Private Collection Eau de Parfum by Estée Lauder is a green floral chypre fragrance for women, released in 1973. Originally created as a personal scent for Mrs Estée Lauder herself, it carries an air of discreet refinement, combining crisp greenery with an elaborate floral heart and a classic mossy base for a quietly distinguished character.
The opening is fresh and leafy, with green notes, hyacinth and linden blossom brightened by bergamot, lemon and orange blossom. The heart is richly layered, bringing together chrysanthemum, narcissus, honeysuckle, mignonette, jasmine, ylang-ylang and rose, with a soft touch of pear. The effect is intricate yet harmonious, like a well-tended spring garden.
The base is deep and textured, with oakmoss, coriander, cedarwood and patchouli providing a dry chypre structure, softened by sandalwood, powdery heliotrope, amber and musk.
