L'Interdit Eau de Parfum Intense by Givenchy is a floral amber woody fragrance for women, released in 2020 and created by Anne Flipo, Dominique Ropion and Fanny Bal. It deepens the contrast at the heart of L'Interdit, setting luminous white flowers against a darker, more mysterious backdrop. The mood is sensual, bold and dramatic.
The opening is all white florals, with radiant orange blossom and creamy, heady tuberose arriving together in a rich, glowing bouquet. Rather than staying bright, the flowers are soon pulled into shadow by earthy patchouli and smoky vetiver in the heart. This interplay of light and dark gives the scent its rebellious, slightly provocative character.
The base brings smooth, warm vanilla alongside black sesame, an unusual nutty, toasted note that adds a velvety, almost roasted depth.
