Le Sel d Issey Eau de Parfum by Issey Miyake is a distinctive aromatic-aquatic fragrance for men that captures the mineral freshness of salt air with a warm, woody finish. Created by Quentin Bisch in 2025, it is clean and contemporary but far from a typical blue fragrance more textured, atmospheric and quietly sophisticated.
Salt and seaweed set the tone from the opening, creating a bracing marine accord with a crisp, mineral-like edge. It evokes ocean spray and windswept coastline rather than sweet tropical water, giving the scent a fresh and elemental personality.
At the heart, incense introduces a dry, lightly smoky contrast. This gradually blends into cedarwood and amber in the base, where the fragrance becomes warmer, smoother and subtly resinous while retaining its airy marine character.
